A commercial or industrial building inspection is a comprehensive visual inspection of your investment. The purpose of which is to identify material defects on the exterior, the interior and major systems of the building or complex. Major systems of your building would include; heating, plumbing, air conditioning, structural, electrical and the building envelope. There is no mandatory certification in effect for commercial building inspectors. Many inspectors are entering the market with little of no construction experience. CMHC recommends that you question any potential home inspector with the following:

How long have you been in business?

What are your qualifications?

Provide at least three references! One for every year they claim to be in business!

Verify all information prior to hiring.

Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware.....Experience Does Matter !
